1984年毕业于中央工艺美院环境艺术系；1991年毕业于中央工艺美术学院，获硕士学位，并获得“平山郁夫”奖学金；1991年任教于中央工艺美术学院（现清华大学美术学院）环境艺术系。

Graduated from the Department of Oil Painting of the School of Fine Arts, Minzu University of China, in 1992; won the excellent designer award at the International Garment Young Designer Grand Prix in 1995; put on the “Bright: Summit Trio Exhibition” in Anhui Yaming Art Museum in 2012, and the “Third Realm Solo Exhibition” in the 798 Bridge Art Space in 2012; Put on the “Zhan Ying—2013 New Works Exhibition” in the 798 Bridge Art Space in 2013; and “Lust in the Human World—Painting VS One Who Has Thus Arrived As He Thus Left – Zhan Ying & Bian Jing Double Exhibition” in Adelaide OzAsia Art Gallery in 2014.

黄钢是中国当代艺术领域内对综合材料探索的较成功案例，他通过多种现成品与书法等综合元素，创作出具有兼具东西方艺术语言的现代作品，一个老物件，它的表面留下了时间的痕迹或者被时光打磨得光滑，人手去触摸，感受的到它的独特与稀世。最后，这些物品都具有一种精神属性，它们不是来自于工业制造，而是来自于灵魂，本身带有对一段历史、一种信仰、一种特殊技艺的参照。黄钢的艺术就是结合或者集合这些物品，也是做延续的工作，让它们能够具有多重意义，这会让它们具有更高的复杂性。

Art description:

The renowned contemporary artist Xue Song burned documents to ashes which he then mixed with pigment and collaged found objects to produce the effect of Pop Art. With the ashes and the collage, the artist finished his oil painting, which met the requirements of Wanda Reign Shanghai to express modernity and deep-rooted cultural tradition.
