After obtaining a master’s degree from the Department of Sculpture, Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2003, Zhuo was employed as a teacher of the same university. He studies the art of Leonardo da Vinci and focuses on creating new compositional methods (mechanical installations, kinetic sculptures, etc.). He is now an associate professor and living in Beijing.

作品以传统文人画为设计概念，按照《素园石谱》中绘制的雅石样貌用黑色石头手工雕琢而成，置于案几桌几，赏玩之间寄托着亲近自然、崇尚自然之美的情愫，同时也以宁静凝重、质朴坚贞的石的固有品格来寓意自己的精神追求，净化心灵，陶冶情操。

Art description:

The artist developed the concept of traditional literati painting and sculpted black stone after the elegant rocks in The Scholars' Rocks in Ancient China. The pieces are to be placed on desks and appreciated at any time, allowing the beholder to experience nature and express his adoration of it. The traits of placidity, gravity, steadfastness and simplicity of the stone also speak to the ideal personality of the beholder, and can instill a sense of purity, balance and richness.
